A fresh batch of 1,974 pilgrims left for the Shri Amarnath Cave Shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas on Sunday.
The pilgrims left the Bhagwati Nagar Base Camp in Jammu in a convoy of 85 vehicles. They chanted “Bam Bam Bhole” as they departed.
A group of 1,410 pilgrims also left for Pahalgam, while 564 pilgrims left for Baltal. The pilgrims were accompanied by tight security arrangements.
The Amarnath Yatra, which began on July 1, will conclude on August 31.
