A routine vehicle check by Jammu and Kashmir Police at Jakhani Naka, Udhampur, led to the arrest of a drug peddler and the seizure of 40 kg of poppy. Officers discovered the poppy concealed in two gunny bags within vegetable crates in the vehicle. The arrested individual, identified as Haseen, is now facing charges, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
