The Meteorological Department in Kashmir has forecast a predominantly dry weather pattern for Jammu and Kashmir until November 23rd.
Director of the Meteorological Department, Kashmir, Mukhtar Ahmad, stated that a weak Western Disturbance (WD) led to light snowfall in the higher reaches of Gurez today. Another weak WD is anticipated around the 15th and 16th of this month, potentially bringing light snowfall to the higher reaches of central and northern Kashmir.
However, Ahmad emphasized that the overall weather trend is expected to be dry. He cautioned about persistent mist and fog, particularly during morning and evening hours, which may reduce visibility. Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution to prevent accidents.
While most of the harvesting is complete, farmers who are still in the process are urged to finish their work before the weather deteriorates.
