Terror Associate Arrested in Doda Under PSA

A suspected over-ground worker (OGW) with links to a terrorist group was detained in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).

The PSA, a law that allows detention without charge or trial for up to two years in certain cases, was invoked against Mohd Irfan of Kanhal Bajarni.

According to a police statement, Irfan was involved in unlawful activities and suspected of attempting to revive militancy in the district at the behest of handlers across the border.

Despite warnings and previous legal measures, Irfan continued his activities, posing a significant threat to public safety and security.

Following a detention order issued by the District Magistrate of Doda, Irfan was lodged at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu.

Police emphasized that this action aims to maintain peace and security in the region and serves as a warning to those involved in anti-national activities.
