A heartbreaking tragedy struck a family of five in the Pandrethan area of Srinagar, where they were found dead from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
The incident came to light when concerned neighbors noticed an unusual lack of activity from the family’s rented accommodation throughout the morning. Upon investigation, they discovered the family members unconscious inside the residence.
Emergency services were immediately notified, and police and medical teams swiftly arrived at the scene. Tragically, all five family members – a man, his wife, and their three children – were pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital.
The cause of death is currently believed to be suffocation, possibly due to the inhalation of toxic fumes, though a thorough investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances.
