Two men have been arrested in Jammu for the separate abductions of two girls from their homes. Both girls have been safely recovered.
The first incident occurred on January 19th, when a 16-year-old girl was kidnapped from her home in the Domana area. The suspect, Sonu Kumar, originally from Uttar Pradesh but residing in Greater Kailash, was identified by the girl’s mother in a police complaint.
In a separate incident on January 31st, a 24-year-old woman was abducted from her Jammu residence. Her mother filed a police report at the Pouni Chak police post, naming Mohammad Asfak from Jharkhand as the suspect.
Special police teams were formed to locate the missing girls. Using technical assistance, they successfully recovered both victims from outside the Union Territory and apprehended the accused. After legal procedures were completed, the girls were reunited with their families. Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
