Srinagar Police Nab Three Drug Peddlers

Srinagar, March 2nd: In a continued effort to combat drug trafficking, Srinagar Police arrested three individuals and seized contraband charas during a checkpoint operation in Noorbagh.

Officers from Police Post Noorbagh intercepted a vehicle (KUV-100, registration JK01AD-2899) at Noorbagh Chowk. The occupants, identified as Ahmad Bin Ishaq Kawa (Nawakadal), Daniyal Ahmad Basati (Palpora Noorbagh), and Taha Yasir (Aalikadal Srinagar), were found to be in possession of 184 grams of charas during a search.

All three suspects were arrested, and the vehicle was seized. A case (FIR No. 24/2025) has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Safakadal, and an investigation is underway.
