In a significant move against drug trafficking, Budgam Police have seized the substantial property of known drug peddler Ghulam Ahmad Dar, also known as Gulsaka, in Nadigam village, Soibugh area. The seized assets include a four-story shopping complex with approximately 40 shops in Nadigam and six canals of land in Chek Wazir Panoo, collectively valued at around 3.5 crore rupees.
This action, taken under Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, is linked to Case FIR No. 198/2019, registered at Police Station Budgam. The case involves the recovery of commercial quantities of Codeine Phosphate and poppy straw from Dar’s possession.
The police reiterate their commitment to combating drug-related crimes by identifying and seizing properties acquired through illegal drug trade, as authorized by the NDPS Act.
The public is encouraged to assist in this effort by reporting any information regarding drug trafficking to the police.
