Chief Minister Omar Abdullah emphasized the dual benefits of the Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg: promoting tourism and driving infrastructure development. He stated that the recent 5th edition, held after a post-snowfall survey, helps the government improve ski slopes and facilities, aiming to establish Gulmarg as a world-class skiing destination and create employment opportunities. The second phase of the 2025 games began on March 9th under tight security.
