“Kathua District Police have apprehended Saif Din, also known as Saif Ali, who had been evading arrest for nearly three years. He was wanted in connection with FIR No. 22/2023, registered at Police Station Billawar, under sections 376 and 366 of the Indian Penal Code.
Saif Din, son of Hasham Din, originally from Mamoon Kant, Pathankot, and currently residing in Wadala Khurd, Amritsar, Punjab, was apprehended by a team from Police Station Billawar, led by SHO Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, under the supervision of SDPO Neeraj Padyar. A warrant under Section 512 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) had been issued by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Billawar.
Following his arrest, Saif Din was presented before the court for judicial proceedings. Kathua Police reiterate their commitment to public safety and swift action against criminals.”
