Minister Sakeena Itoo, responsible for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, visited Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura and SMHS Hospital Srinagar to check on students injured in the Handwara road accident.
At SMHS Hospital, Minister Itoo spoke with the family of a student receiving treatment. She instructed the Principal of GMC, the Medical Superintendent, and doctors to closely monitor the student’s recovery and ensure she receives the best possible care.
Subsequently, at SKIMS Soura, she inquired about another injured student. She assured the student’s family of full government support. Minister Itoo directed the Director of SKIMS, the Medical Superintendent, and doctors to prioritize the student’s medical care and support her family. She further instructed the SKIMS Director to personally oversee the student’s treatment.
Regarding the students’ condition, Minister Itoo emphasized their well-being as a top priority. “I have instructed the hospitals to focus on their recovery with dedicated attention and compassionate medical care,” she stated.
