The District Police Poonch has escalated its efforts to combat illegal mining within the region. Police Station Mandi teams, conducting heightened patrols, seized five tractor trolleys used in unauthorized mining operations.
The police force emphasizes its commitment to enforcing mining regulations through regular inspections, surprise raids, and equipment confiscation. Strict legal action will be taken against any violators.
Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch, Sh Shafket Hussain JKPS, stated, “Illegal mining causes significant environmental damage and economic harm. We are determined to enforce the law rigorously. Individuals and entities involved in such activities will face severe penalties.”
The public is encouraged to report any instances of illegal mining to their local police station.
