It sounds like tensions are still high along the Line of Control. For the eighth night in a row, on the night of May 1st-2nd, 2025, Pakistan Army posts initiated unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir, including Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Naushera, and Akhnoor.
According to officials, Indian Army troops responded to this firing in a measured and appropriate way.
