The Border Security Force (BSF) reported on Friday the killing of seven terrorists attempting to infiltrate the India-Pakistan International Border in the Samba sector of Jammu. The incident occurred overnight between May 8th and 9th after BSF’s surveillance systems detected a “large group” of terrorists.
According to a BSF spokesperson, the infiltration attempt was supported by firing from the Pakistan Rangers’ Dhandhar post. BSF troops successfully countered the bid, neutralizing at least seven terrorists and inflicting significant damage on the Dhandhar post. The BSF also released a thermal imaging clip purportedly showing the destruction of the post.
The BSF emphasized its heightened state of alert due to the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, following the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22nd and India’s subsequent retaliatory strikes on terror targets within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
