“Someone Has To Be Held Responsible”: CM Omar Abdullah On Pahalgam Terror Attack

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday emphatically called for accountability following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 people, predominantly tourists, after what appeared to be religious profiling.

“Who is responsible for this failure?” CM Abdullah pressed reporters. “If it is an intelligence failure, then who is responsible for this? It is not possible that 26 people lost their lives and there is no response from our side. Now that we know there has been a failure in security and intelligence, someone has to be held responsible.” He stressed the necessity of identifying and holding responsible those who failed to prevent the deadly attack.
