Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Wednesday that the terrorists responsible for the recent attack in Pahalgam have been identified and will be “dealt with soon.” Speaking at the Gandhi Smriti during a lecture titled “Jammu and Kashmir: Towards Peace,” Sinha asserted that efforts to disturb peace in the Kashmir Valley would be unsuccessful.
Sinha confirmed that Pakistan received a strong response through Operation Sindoor following the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, which resulted in the deaths of 26 people, mostly tourists. “Those who carried out the attack have been identified, and I can confidently say they do not have long to live,” Sinha stated, adding that “good news will come, but it’s not appropriate to disclose a specific date.” He further noted that over the past five years, even the top leaders of various terrorist organizations have been neutralized, and the current perpetrators will meet a similar end. Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7 to target terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation for the Pahalgam attack.
