JAMMU: In an exciting showdown of the Under-19 cricket tournament held in Jammu, the Jammu district team clashed with the Kathua district team.
Mukesh Sharma, Media and Communications Head of the Youth Services and Sports Department, stated that the Jammu team initially set a target of 200 runs for Kathua to chase.
Jammu’s team displayed outstanding performance, with Ashutosh leading the charge by scoring an impressive 67 runs. Meanwhile, Ramit’s exceptional bowling performance, taking 4 wickets, turned the tide of the match in favor of Jammu.
In contrast, Kathua’s team faced a daunting task of reaching the 200-run target but could only manage to score 91 runs before losing all their wickets. Nikhil, Kathua’s standout batsman, contributed with 41 runs, while Rudra took a crucial wicket.
As a result, the Jammu district team secured a resounding victory over Kathua by a margin of 108 runs. The Jammu team showcased exceptional teamwork and skill, making it a memorable victory for the district.
