Northern Army Commander Inspects Ladakh Forward Posts, Reviews Winter Readiness

Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi visited forward areas of Ladakh on Tuesday to review winter operational preparedness and border infrastructure development. He also felicitated troops of the Indian Army, ITBP, and GREF for their relentless efforts in maintaining high operational effectiveness under challenging conditions.

Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to Ladakh on October 31, including attending the Foundation Day celebrations of Ladakh UT, visiting Siachen Base Camp, and interacting with troops, SHGs, and local tribals.

Earlier, a terrorist was killed after the army and police foiled an infiltration bid along the LoC in the Keran sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
