A suspected drug addict brutally stabbed his mother and three-month-old daughter to death in Bishnah, Jammu, on Tuesday evening. The accused, Jagdev Singh alias Michael, is at large.
According to the police, the incident took place around 5 pm when Michael’s wife and other family members were not home. Michael used a sharp-edged weapon to stab his mother, Kamlo Devi, and daughter to death.
The police were alerted to the crime after Michael’s wife returned home and found the bodies. A police team rushed to the spot and collected evidence. A case has been registered under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (murder) and Section 4/25 of the Arms Act.
