A 40-year-old hunter named Sunil Singh was found dead on Wednesday with a gunshot wound to the head near his farm in the Gurha Slathia forest area in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. His licensed 12-bore gun was found near his body, which was taken for postmortem examination.
Police have begun an inquest to determine the exact cause of death, but it is still unclear whether Singh died from a self-inflicted gunshot or was shot by someone else.
