National Conference leader Omar Abdullah announced he will be taking a break from the public eye for a few weeks following a string of personal and professional setbacks. In a lengthy post, Abdullah expressed his disappointment with two recent court rulings: the Supreme Court’s upholding of the abrogation of Article 370 and the Delhi High Court’s refusal to grant him divorce.
While acknowledging the difficulties, Abdullah emphasized his resilience and commitment to addressing the challenges ahead, including upcoming elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He noted, “It’s that time of the year when I take some time to be with those I care about, to refresh, recharge & come back stronger.”
Abdullah assured his return early next year, “fighting fit” and ready to face the struggles and fights that lie ahead. He remains determined to lead the fight for Jammu and Kashmir’s future, despite the obstacles in his path.
