Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district foiled a suspected smuggling attempt, recovering weapons and narcotics near the Line of Control (LoC) on Tuesday. Acting on a tip, officials seized an AK-47 rifle, two magazines, and an unspecified quantity of narcotics-like substance from Keran Payeen, close to the Cobra Post viewpoint along the Kishanganga River.
A local resident, Mohammad Amin Lone from Naga Mandiyan, was detained for questioning in connection with the discovery. Authorities are continuing their investigation and further details are expected soon.
