The State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir has filed a comprehensive charge sheet against 12 individuals involved in the brutal murder of Kashmiri Pandit Sanjay Sharma in February 2023. The case initially investigated by Pulwama Police was later transferred to SIA due to its cross-border links and broader conspiracy.
SIA’s investigation revealed a shocking plot hatched across the border to incite communal disharmony in the valley. The motive: using the murder of an innocent minority member to fuel tension and sustain terrorism.
Extensive searches across south Kashmir unearthed vital evidence, including mobile devices, documents, and even a pistol magazine, exposing the accused’s involvement in planning, supporting, and concealing the crime. Additionally, 5 rounds of searches at 32 locations yielded crucial pieces of the puzzle.
