Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was restored on Sunday morning after a landslide blocked the road in Ramban district.
The landslide occurred at Mehad in Ramban district on Saturday evening, which led to the closure of the highway. Police had issued an advisory advising people to avoid the route until the restoration work was completed.
The road was cleared by Sunday morning and traffic was restored.
This is the second time in a month that the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been blocked due to a landslide. On July 19, the highway was blocked at several places in Ramban district due to mud slush and shooting stones.
