On Friday, Indian Army troops stationed near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir, opened fire on Pakistani quadcopters detected entering Indian airspace. Though no quadcopters were downed, they retreated back to the Pakistani side after briefly hovering over Indian territory in the Balnoi-Mendhar and Gulpur sectors.
Search operations are currently underway in both sectors to verify if any weapons or narcotics were dropped by the drones. This incident follows a similar one on February 12th, where Indian troops engaged an enemy drone in the Mankote area.
