In an effort to combat drug trafficking, Baramulla police seized property valued at ₹50 lakh from a known drug peddler on Thursday. The confiscated assets belong to Shabir Ahmad Sofi, a resident of Mazhama, Magam in Budgam district, and include a double-story house and 9 marlas of land. This action is part of the ongoing “Drug-Free Baramulla” campaign, which has resulted in the attachment of ₹5.5 crore worth of illegal drug-related properties from 16 drug peddlers so far this year.
