The first batch of pilgrims for the Budha Amarnath Yatra in Poonch departed from Jammu on Friday morning. The yatra will continue for the next 11 days.
ADGP Mukesh Singh assured that all security arrangements have been made for the yatra. He wished the pilgrims a safe and successful journey.
The Chota Amarnath Yatra in Bandipora district is also getting ready to begin. The yatra will take place in the Arin Valley and will cover a distance of 15 kilometers.
The local people are eagerly awaiting the yatra and have been demanding better infrastructure along the route. They are also committed to ensuring the safety of the pilgrims.
