Police in Jammu have arrested three individuals and seized a significant quantity of heroin during a vehicle check on Wednesday night.
A police party from Greater Kailash intercepted a Santro car with registration number DL3CBP3122 at Forest Chowk on the National Highway. The occupants of the car were identified as Mudassir Ahmad Shalla (driver), Ghulam Rasool, and Arshad Ahmad Misgar.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers recovered 18.49 grams of heroin from Ghulam Rasool’s possession. The trio has been arrested, and a case under sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Gangyal police station. Investigations are ongoing.
