Government of Jammu & Kashmir on Thursday put Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Jammu under suspension for dereliction of duties.
The move comes in the backdrop of an accident which took place in J&K’s Akhnoor on May 30 this year.
The suspended officer shall remain attached with Police Headquarter Jammu.
“In terms of Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956 and pending enquiry into his conduct/dereliction of duties, Shri Satish Kumar, DySP Traffic Rural, Jammu, is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect. During the period of suspension, the officer shall remain attached with Police Headquarter, J&K,” an order issued by J&K Home Department reads.
