Altaf Bukhari vows to resolve all pending issues of Displaced Persons if voted to power

Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari, the President of Apni Party, has assured that his Party will resolve all pending Displaced Persons (DPs) issues if they were voted to power in Jammu and Kashmir.

During a meeting with DPs and their leaders, Bukhari heard their longstanding issues and assured that his Party will resolve them if voted to power.

He said that the previous governments had not resolved the grievances of the DPs and that the traditional political parties had not given heed to their genuine demands for the last several decades.

Bukhari extended his support to the DPs’ genuine cause and said that he was concerned about their plight. He sought their social, economic, educational and political upliftment.

He said that the Apni Party stood with the DPs and their demands, which included the release of pending sanctioned package of Govt of India, reservation in educational institution for their children and employment.

Bukhari also sought on the spot fast track recruitment process of the unemployed educated youth in Paramilitary Forces, Indian Army and J&K Police for the DPs and other border residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the DPs were the first line of defence on the borders and that they had given their sacrifices. He appreciated the DPs leaders for their struggle for their genuine demands.

Bukhari also criticized other traditional political parties for using the DPs as vote banks and for not resolving their issues. He said that the Apni Party had always stood for the cause of the people in Jammu and Kashmir and that it would resolve the DPs’ issues if voted to power.
