Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday assessed the security situation and operational preparedness of troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
Accompanied by top military officials, Gen Dwivedi’s visit to Poonch included a meeting with field commanders and an aerial review of forward areas. Additionally, the General interacted with ex-servicemen at the 93 Infantry Brigade.
Gen Dwivedi’s visit gains importance amidst the ongoing Amarnath Yatra and heightened anti-terrorist operations in the Jammu region, aimed at thwarting terror activities.
