In a continued effort to combat drug trafficking, police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district apprehended a drug peddler and confiscated illegal substances.
A police spokesperson stated, “A police team led by the Station House Officer of Tangmarg police station established a checkpoint at the Bus Stand. During routine checks, they intercepted a suspicious individual attempting to flee. The person, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, son of Ab Hameed Mir from Ferozpora Tangmarg, was apprehended.”
“A thorough search revealed 35 grams of suspected Charas (cannabis resin) in his possession. Mr. Mir was arrested and taken into custody at the Tangmarg police station.”
