Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma has briefed Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on the prevailing security situation in the Union Territory. The briefings covered recent developments along the Line of Control and other border areas.
Chief Minister Abdullah, in a post on X on Wednesday, stated that the Lieutenant General met with him the previous day and provided an update on the security situation. He also noted the presence of General Officer Commanding 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Prashant Srivastava, during the briefing.
“Our forces are doing a commendable job in protecting the nation,” Abdullah added in his post.
On Wednesday, Lieutenant General Sharma also met with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss the security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
