BSF Jawan Detained By Pak Rangers After Accidentally Crossing Border; Talks For Release On

A Border Security Force (BSF) constable was detained by Pakistan Rangers after inadvertently crossing the Punjab border near Ferozepur on Wednesday. Constable PK Singh from the 182nd battalion was reportedly in uniform and carrying his service weapon at the time of his apprehension. Officials indicated he had been accompanying farmers and had moved ahead to rest in the shade when the incident occurred.

Currently, a flag meeting is underway between BSF and Pakistan Rangers officials to negotiate the jawan’s release. Authorities noted that such accidental border crossings are not unprecedented on either side.

This incident occurs following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which has heightened tensions and prompted India to implement several measures in response to Pakistan’s alleged sponsorship of terrorism.
