Border Security Force (BSF) troops successfully prevented an infiltration attempt along the International Border (IB) in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir during the night of March 10-11. Suspecting movement near the Khora Post, BSF personnel fired rounds, effectively halting the intrusion.
“Following the incident, a comprehensive search operation was launched at daybreak, involving senior BSF and police officials,” stated official sources. “Troops in the area have been placed on high alert.”
This incident follows a recent security review by BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chawdhary, who visited the Jammu Frontier on March 8. He assessed the security situation along the Line of Control in Poonch and the IB in Kathua.
