Amit Koul, son of Badrinath Koul, a resident of Pattan, Kashmir, but currently living in Jammu, was killed in a car accident on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. The car he was traveling in, bearing registration number JK-02BC-5010 and en route from Jammu to Srinagar, skidded off the road near Battery Chashma and fell into a deep gorge. Police and civil QRT Ramban volunteers conducted a rescue operation but found Mr. Koul deceased at the scene.
