Jammu, May 4th, 2024: Carmel Convent School, Kunjwani, celebrated International Dance Day with great fervour and enthusiasm. Mr. Rajesh Rathore, Principal of J.K. Public School, honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The day’s proceedings began with a warm welcome to Mr. Rajesh Rathore, followed by an invocation to the Almighty imploring blessings for the school community. The beautiful prayer service and dance performances set the tone for the day’s events.
The highlight was a competition held among the four houses of the school: Sneha, Sathya, Shanti, and Shakti. After an intense competition, the Yellow House emerged victorious, securing the 1st prize. The event brought out a true celebration of joy, cultural exchange, and the diversity that marks the quality of Carmel Convent School.
The dance competition, presented innovatively, won the hearts of the audience. The jury for the day comprised Mrs. Tanya Sharma and Mrs. Neera Jamwal. The students left everyone spellbound with their enthusiastic performances.
Mr. Rajesh Rathore praised the students for their high-spirited performances and honoured the dance teacher, Shilpee Borah, for her exceptional skills. He also distributed certificates to the students who excelled in Rope Skipping and those who participated in the pizza-making competition at Domino’s as part of their experiential learning.
