World Heritage Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour under the theme “Discover and Experience Diversity” at Carmel Convent School. Kameshwar Puri, SP Operations and Cyber Jammu graced the occasion.
The event showcased a vibrant tapestry of cultures, foods, clothing, and artistic expressions, highlighting the rich diversity of India. Through captivating dances, engaging projects, interactive activities, and expressive mime the participants brought forth the essence of diverse cultures, offering a glimpse into their traditions and heritage.
Mr. Kameshwar Puri, in his address, praised the students for their exceptional performances. He particularly highlighted the expressive mime performance, which showcased the patriotic spirit and discipline of the students. He honoured the students with medals for procuring gold, silver and bronze in the Silver Zone Olympiads.
“The event was not just a celebration of cultural richness but also an opportunity to delve into the true meaning of national integrity,” said Mr. Puri. “Students, through various scriptures from different religions delivered powerful messages emphasizing the importance of unity in diversity.”
The Chief Guest commended the actions of the school in organizing such an enriching event and appreciated the dedication of the students and faculty members. He emphasized the importance of celebrating diversity and promoting national unity.
