A complaint was received at Police Station Ramban from one Sanjay Singh son of Subash Singh resident of Duksan, Ramban stating that on 04.09.2023, he visted Ramban Market in connection with purchase of household goods and was having Rs. Twenty Thousand (20,000) cash in his pocket.One unknown person suddenly snatched his cash amounting to Rs.20,000 from his pocket and fled away from the spot.”On this information a case FIR No. 285/2023 u/s 382 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation set into motion. A special team was constituted by SSP Ramban Ms.Mohita Sharma IPS to trace out the snatcher and to recover the snatched amount.During the course of investigation several suspects were rounded up and after strenuous efforts, the police was able to apprehend one person identified as Parvez Ahmed, S/O Abdul Gani, R/O Kolra, Kamladi, Puldoda, Doda. During questioning the person named above confessed his involvement in snatching the cash amounting to Rs.20,000, on his confession the above mentioned cash was recovered from his possession.”
