On Tuesday, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) and the Special Investigation Agency (SIA) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted coordinated searches at the Central Jail in Srinagar. This operation was undertaken pursuant to a court warrant issued by the Special Judge, designated under the NIA Act.
The investigation focuses on a case involving a wider conspiracy orchestrated by terrorist organizations operating within Jammu and Kashmir and across the Line of Control, with alleged support from Pakistani agencies. These groups, along with local Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and sympathizers, are suspected of using social media platforms to radicalize and recruit youth for terrorist activities.
