Ahead of the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra, which begins on July 3, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo visited Yatri Niwas in Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, to review the final arrangements for a smooth and secure pilgrimage.
Accompanied by senior civil and police officers, Dulloo inspected key facilities at Yatri Niwas, a crucial base camp for devotees in Jammu. Officials present included the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, IGP Jammu, IG Traffic, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, SSP Traffic (City), Commissioner JMC, MD JPDCL, Director Information, Chief Engineers of Jal Shakti and PWD, and representatives from various security agencies.
During his tour, the Chief Secretary assessed arrangements for accommodation, sanitation, power supply, security, and registration counters. He called for an increase in the number of registration counters to minimize waiting times for pilgrims. He also reviewed the dedicated 24/7 control room for yatra activities.
