In a swift joint operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police intercepted a drone carrying heroin in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district. Acting on specific intelligence, they launched a search near Village Dode on Friday morning.
Their efforts paid off when, around 11:45 am, they recovered a China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic quadcopter drone from a farming field along with a packet containing approximately 432 grams of suspected heroin wrapped in yellow adhesive tape.
This successful operation foiled yet another attempt by smugglers to utilize drones for illegal drug trafficking across the border. The BSF commended the joint efforts of their personnel and the Punjab Police in effectively curbing such nefarious activities.
