“Following an explosion that damaged a residence and vehicles in Jammu’s Rehari area, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah visited the site on Saturday to meet with the affected family. The incident occurred amidst heightened tensions, as residents reported hearing explosion-like sounds and sirens early Saturday morning, suspected to be related to drone activity from Pakistan. Officials confirmed a residential building in Roop Nagar was also damaged.
These incidents followed reports of Pakistan launching drone attacks on 26 locations across India, from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat, over the previous two nights. The escalated tensions stem from India’s recent precision strikes on terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), conducted in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack.”
