Acting on a tip, a police team raided the Ramgarh area in Samba district and arrested Vivek Singh, a known criminal, on Thursday night. A country-made pistol and a 12-bore gun were recovered from him. He has been charged under the Arms Act at Vijaypur police station. Notably, Singh was previously arrested along with three others in 2018 for kidnapping and attempted murder.
Responding to a report about illegal mining activities, police apprehended Abhishek Singh, Ravi Singh, Harbax Singh, and Sachin Singh near a cricket ground in the Sum Toph, Phallian Mandal area. Upon searching, a sharp-edged weapon was discovered in their possession. They have been booked under the Arms Act and the investigation is ongoing.
