A CRPF jawan, Sepoy Ajay Kumar, was found dead inside a camp in Chursoo, Awantipora, Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Saturday morning. He was found with gunshot wounds to his head, and police believe he committed suicide.
The incident took place around 2 am, when gunshots were heard inside the camp. Kumar was rushed to a hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and are investigating the matter. They have not ruled out any foul play, but they believe Kumar may have taken his own life due to personal reasons.
Kumar’s death is a tragic loss for his family and the CRPF. He was a brave soldier who served his country with honor. His sacrifice will be remembered.
