By 7:25 am, DIAL noted that while the thunderstorm had passed, some operational impact persisted. At 8:20 am, DIAL announced that the airport was operating normally, although some flight delays were still anticipated due to the earlier adverse weather. The airport operator assured passengers that ground teams were actively collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
Several airlines also issued statements regarding the disruptions. IndiGo acknowledged the impact of the early morning thunderstorms and heavy rain on their flight operations in a post on X at 8:48 am, stating they were closely monitoring the situation and hoped for a swift return to normalcy. Air India reported that adverse weather in parts of northern India was affecting their flight operations, leading to potential delays and diversions for flights to and from Delhi. They assured passengers they were working to minimize disruptions in their X post at 5:51 am. SpiceJet highlighted significant Air Traffic Control (ATC) congestion in Delhi due to the bad weather, warning of potential impacts on all departures, arrivals, and subsequent flights in their X post at 10:09 am.
