Samba, Jammu and Kashmir – The Jammu and Kashmir Police today detained a drug peddler, Sham Din alias Shama, under the stringent Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act.
Sham Din, a resident of Gujjar Basti Sarore, has been a significant concern for authorities, as he’s accused of supplying narcotics, particularly to the youth in the area. Following a formal detention order from the Jammu divisional commissioner, he has been lodged in the Kot Bhalwal central jail.
He was previously booked under relevant sections of law at the Bari Brahmana police station for his involvement in drug distribution.
