Baltal, Ganderbal – Jammu & Kashmir Police have apprehended an individual attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2025) using a fake registration card. The arrest occurred at a security checkpoint in Baltal.
The accused has been identified as Shivam Mittal, son of Krishan Mittal, a resident of Dwarka Puri, Jagadhri, District Yamunanagar, Haryana.
Police officials stated that Mittal had procured the forged yatra card through fraudulent means and tried to deceive security personnel, thereby unlawfully bypassing the mandatory security verification process.
A First Information Report (FIR No. 13/2025) has been registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sonamarg, and a thorough investigation into the matter has been initiated. This action underscores the J&K Police’s commitment to upholding the security of the ongoing yatra.
