A fire erupted on Thursday at a grid station located in the Battal Ballian industrial area of Udhampur. Firefighters were immediately dispatched to the scene and are working to extinguish the flames.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prahlad Sharma confirmed that authorities responded swiftly. “We deployed fire tenders as soon as we received the report,” he said. “Extinguishing the fire is ongoing, with challenges presented by oil reserves and large transformers on-site.”
