Ramban Administration Welcomes First Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims, Emphasizing Safety
The Ramban District Administration extended a warm welcome to the inaugural group of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims at a ‘Langar’ (community kitchen) site in Chanderkote. Dignitaries present included Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range Shridhar Patil, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban Arjun Singh Raju, Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, SSP Ramban Kulbir Singh, SSP Traffic NHW Raja Adil Hamid, and other officials, all on hand to greet the devotees en route to Amarnath.
Ramban MLA Arjun Singh Raju lauded the administration’s efforts, highlighting the “excellent arrangements” made for the Shri Amarnath Yatra. He remarked that the Yatra itself serves as “a befitting reply to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam,” recalling past safety concerns in the region.
